Rev. Cathy was born and raised in Unity. And she graduated from ministerial school in 1983 as one of the youngest females to have ever graduated from the program. After 3 years of serving at her first church at the Unity Church of San Diego as an associate minister, she went on to serve at the Unity Church of Delray Beach in Florida heading the Youth of Unity, Unity Classes, the spiritual based counseling program until 1993. From there Rev. Cathy went on to be the senior minister at the Unity on the Avenue in Denver.

Along with her ministry there, she also had a television show called Heart, Mind and Soul where she shared Unity principles alongside the points of view of an astrologer and a psychotherapist. In 2004, she went on to become the senior minister at the Unity Church of Ventura where she has since retired. Rev. Cathy holds 2 Masters Degrees; one Master’s Degree is in theology from the Peace Theological Seminary and her other Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Outside her professional endeavors, Cathy loves writing, doing artwork, gardening, hiking, traveling and spending time with good friends. She lives in Ojai with her husband, Steve Blain, 2 dogs and a bunch of chickens!
